COMMENT: The poster is for an exhibition about the architect Bruno Taut and his famous Glass Pavilion. The Glass Pavilion was designed by Bruno Taut in 1914 for the Cologne Werkbund Exhibition to demonstrate the architectural possibilities of glass.
The building consisted of a prismatic glass dome with a steel frame and a concrete base. The dome was clad with colored glass tiles that created a kaleidoscopic spectacle when light shone through them. Inside, there were glass walls, glass floors, and a waterfall that flowed down a cascading staircase.
The Glass Pavilion was dismantled after the exhibition and destroyed in World War II.
